Lasy regionu
Lasy Regionalnej Dyrekcji Lasów Państwowych w Radomiu zajmują 324,5 tys. ha i są bardzo zróżnicowane, podobnie jak lesistość tego terenu. Wiele z nich przetrwało dawne osadnictwo i nadal tworzy zwarte leśne obszary. Puszcza Świętokrzyska i Kozienicka należą do najcenniejszych obszarów przyrodniczych w kraju. Inne wyróżniające się kompleksy leśne to Puszcza Stromiecka, Lasy Iłżeckie oraz lasy Niecki Włoszczowskiej. Pozostałe lasy: okolic Chmielnika, Staszowa, Pińczowa, Jędrzejowa i Grójca są bardziej rozdrobnione, ale także cenne i mające swoją specyfikę.
